WEDFresh: The Age of Average

The Propyard in Bristol.

On Wednesday 2nd November I’ll be giving a talk at Bristol’s Propyard for the West Of England Design Forum. Here’s a quick teaser:

In an article for Vanity Fair, the writer Kurt Anderson’s shared his theory that the last 20 years have been the most stylistically stagnant of any two-decade period since 1900. Alex’s talk will explore this idea across a number of different fields. Have film, fashion, architecture, and advertising become more homogenous? And if so, what can we do about it?

This talk will form the basis of my next article, The Age Of Average. If you want the inside track, you can pick up your tickets here.
